Biography
| Louise is an interdisciplinary marine researcher whose research addresses the intersection of fisheries economics, human dimensions of marine resource management, ecosystem valuation, and climate-change impacts on fisheries. Her research examines coupled marine social–ecological systems across local, regional, and global scales. Louise’s work integrates qualitative social science, quantitative socioeconomic analysis, bioeconomic and scenario approaches, and economic valuation to connect marine ecosystem change with food security, equity, resilience, and policy. She has a particular interest in small-scale fisheries and working with coastal communities. |
Research Interests
Small-scale Fisheries, Socio-Economic Analysis of Fisheries, Coral Reef Conservation, Scenario Development and Analysis, Social-Ecological Systems, Human Dimensions of Fisheries Management
