A group of IOF and zoology students joined shoreline clean up event to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day
2022 – Intertidal tour with Dr. Chris Harley
On Saturday, September 10th, IOF community members met coastal ecology expert, Dr. Christopher Harley, to take advantage of the receding waters and tour one of the intertidal zones at Stanley Park.

Students from IOF and other departments at UBC headed off on a whale-watching adventure.
2018 – Adams River Sockeye Trip
Every four years this river sees a large run of sockeye salmon and a group of IOF participants were lucky enough to witness this event

Students visited the Greig Salmon Farm and the BC Centre for Aquatic Health Sciences to better understand salmon farming.
