Sharing the value of fisheries science/research with the general public through the popular media and other communication channels. Deadline: April 1, 2025

Award of Excellence (AFS)

American Fisheries Society’s highest award for scientific achievement is presented to a living AFS member for original and/or outstanding contributions to fisheries and aquatic biology. Deadline: April 1, 2025

AFS Fellows Program

Members who have made outstanding or meritorious contributions to the diversity of fields that are included in the American Fisheries Society. Deadline: April 1, 2025

Carl R. Sullivan Fishery Conservation Award (AFS)

For outstanding contributions to the conservation of fishery resources. Deadline: April 1, 2025

Order of British Columbia

Any British Columbian who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, excellence or distinction in any field. Deadline: April 4, 2025

EWR Steacie Prize for Natural Sciences

For a scientist or engineer of 40 years of age or less for outstanding scientific research carried out in Canada. UBC Deadline: March 28, 2018

International Recognition of Professional Excellence Prize

Honors a young ecologist (not older than 40 years) who has published uniquely independent, original and/or challenging research.

ECI Prize

Awarded to an ecologist distinguished by outstanding and sustained scientific achievements.

Fulbright Visiting Research Chairs

For exceptional scholars and/or experienced professionals who wish to conduct research and/or lecture in the United States. Deadline: November 15, 2021
