Congratulations to Isabella Morgante (PhD, OCF), who was named as one of UBC’s Climate Solutions Research Collective 2024/2025 Solution Scholars.
The Solutions Scholars will work on one of four collaborative projects over the 2024/2025 year with an interdisciplinary group of faculty and community members.
In Isabella’s case, she will be working on the “Carbon Offsets: Climate Action or Sustainability Illusion?” project. This project will examine the current state of offset programs and the potential future use of offsets in Canada (with a particular focus on British Columbia, though potentially drawing on offsets purchased from abroad).
