Marie Auger-Methe & Andrea Reid join the ranks of the RSC’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists
Dr. Marie Auger-Methe (Associate Professor) and Dr. Andrea Reid (Assistant Professor) have been invited by the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) become members of the RSC’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.
Each year, the RSC invites scholars, artists and creators in the early stage in their career, who have been recognized through their exceptional contributions to the world of science and culture, and to the well-being of Canada to join the College. This year 56 individuals, including these two UBC Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries faculty members, will bring their expertise to the College, to address major challenges and seize new opportunities, including those in emerging fields. “The impact of their work will continue to be felt in the development of public policies for years to come, while contributing to the well-being of our society,” said Alain-G. Gagnon, FRSC, President of the RSC.
