Thesis Topic

My research explores the movement and foraging ecology of East-Greenland-Svalbard-Barents Sea bowhead whales including the influence of dynamic and static environmental conditions, plasticity in foraging strategies, the resulting energetic trade-offs and implications for recovery of this population, and the dietary specialization and trophic dynamics both among individual bowhead whales and across populations.
