Marine Mammal Skeleton Exhibit

The Marine Mammal Skeleton Exhibit helps promote public understanding of marine mammals and the ecosystems in which they live. It included the skeletons of a minke whale, killer whales, three Pacific white-sided dolphins and two Steller sea lions.

These specimens are native to British Columbia and were recovered and cleaned by students and volunteers. Articulation was done by Michael deRoos.

The Marine Mammal Skeleton Exhibit is a joint initiative between the Marine Mammal Research Unit (under Dr. Andrew Trites) and the employees of Petro-Canada Burrard Products Terminal.
