My research takes place on a remote subantarctic island in the Falkland Islands. It’s so windy there that trees can’t grow, only tall grasses. While researching the winter foraging ecology of Gentoo penguins, I am also able to get to know many of the other species that call Pebble Island home. The Islands are beautiful and absolutely worth a visit.
